What is a BDA System?
A BDA system is essentially a way to increase safety for first responders when in your building by boosting the communication signals on the local Emergency Responder Radio System (ERRS.) Learn more here.
Who Needs a BDA System?
As of 2020, 47 state regulations require that all new buildings have proper communication streams for first responders within a building- this requires a UL certificate.
There is also a grandfather clause that allows existing buildings some time to make the investment in a BDA system, though this is based on a state by state basis.
