Who Needs a BDA System?
As of 2020, 47 state regulations require that all new buildings have proper communication streams for first responders within a building- this requires a UL certificate.
There is also a grandfather clause that allows existing buildings some time to make the investment in a BDA system, though this is based on a state by state basis.
